Access: El río se ubica a 180 kms. al sur de Puerto Porvenir. El camino de ripio está en estado regular. El acceso puede ser terrestre, marítimo y aéreo. Se puede llegar en avión al mismo sector de Río Grande, directamente desde Punta Arenas o Puerto Porvenir. Acceso Terrestre desde Punta Arenas, limitado al horario del cruce del Estrecho de Magallanes. En condiciones climáticas normales hay movimiento de barcaza desde Punta Delgada a Bahía Azul de las 08:30 a 23:00 horas (cruce Primera Angostura).
Comments: Es uno de los mejores ríos para la pesca deportiva a nivel internacional.
